As a schoolteacher, devoted wife and sister, Nancy plunged deeply into whatever life’s circumstances brought her way—even when that meant devoting much of her life to the needs of others.

Still, life on her own terms began late, when she emerged in her forties from decades of caregiving and found herself with new freedom to pursue hobbies, interests, and relationships for the first time.

In Full Immersion, Nancy celebrates the joys—and challenges—of caregiving, sharing what it’s like to leave behind years of being immersed in caring for others—and begin to explore the idea of caring for yourself.

Nancy Koenig

Nancy Koenig retired from education after spending thirty-nine years teaching kindergarten through twelfth grade. She is well-versed on the joys and challenges of care-giving, having spent many decades caring for her mother and brother. Today Nancy is a newlywed of sixteen years, and lives with her husband, Denny, and two cats, Ginger and Dixie, in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
