The Boy Who Said No
Growing up in Cuba, Frank Mederos has seen firsthand what Castro’s policies have wrought. Having been conscripted into the army and promoted to the Special Forces, he is privy to many of the country’s’ top military secrets. But his thirst for freedom and his longing to join his girlfriend in America lead him to defect. However, the Castro military machine has other ideas. They want him -- dead or alive. Frank’s knowledge is too dangerous and his escape unacceptable.
Frank’s remarkable true story of love, loss, and courage keeps the reader riveted until the last page is turned.
