The poems in this collection by Jennifer Moyer are poems of transformation. They map the poet's journey from notion to fulfillment. They explore the rich textures of friendship and render with clarity and delicacy of both outer and inner landscapes. Moyer's poems have a deep affinity with painting. She goes from impressionistic to abstract, from naive to expressionistic. And there is a touch of music in her lines. There is feeling of the staccato. She clips the passage—words are spare—the tempo is upbeat, accentuated.
